Bridges of Knowledge: re-reading Primo Levi

Abstract

The article attempts to define the variety of bridges built between different cultures in Levi's writings. When his collections of technology-fiction" stories were first published, some critics and the author himself, stressed the continuity between them and Levi's first works. All represented distortions of human reason and desire for knowledge, and the distortions of the fictional stories were just as logically plausible as those of the two autobiographical works on Auschwitz. A similar continuity can be noted in all Levi wrote from the mid-1970s to his death.
