Abstract

How useful is the notion of genre when analysing the work of Buzzati? The problematic nature of classifying Buzzati's writing in accordance with genre labels is an essential part of his vocation in which the seemingly unlike poles of journalism and literature are in a state of constant interaction, whether conflicting or complementary.
