Abstract

Gli ultimi tre giorni di Fernando Pessoa is not just a tribute to Pessoa and to Portuguese literature: it represents a summa of Tabucchi's main themes which have been unfolding in his narrative works since the publication in 1975 of his first novel, Piazza d'Italia. In it Tabucchi demonstrates, through the medium of the theatre and in a fashion reminiscent of Pirandello's poetics, how life meets art and vice versa.
